Dead Animal Removal
The Brecksville Service Department provides a limited animal carcass removal service. Due to the expense of dispatching crews for this type of activity, only large animal remains in the right-of-way that may cause a traffic hazard are picked up on a 24/7 basis. Large (deer-sized) animal carcasses will be removed from private property during our normal operating hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. On private property in wooded areas decayed carcasses will be limed only by the Service Department. The Service Department requests that residents handle the removal of small animal remains by placing them in plastic bags and disposing of them with household trash. Property owners are responsible for all animal remains located on private property.
