First manufactured in New England, this ball and stick style construction was very popular and also quite affordable. However there are few surviving original examples of this popular design. This carriage is great for small to medium sized dolls and bears.

The carriage handle measures 21" high from the floor and overall length (front to back) is 22" long including the handle. The width is 9". Wheels measure 6" in front and 8" at the rear.

This model # 100 Whitney carriage holds this 15 1/2" Kestner # 211 bisque head doll. Taking her for a stroll is an antique 34" Kley & Hahn. This beautiful German doll is wearing her best silk dress.
