Sixth Annual Show

The GLKGS Sixth annual show was an exciting one for Ohio Koi Club member Judy Endsley. Her Shiro Utsuri took Junior Grand Champion. Judy has owned this Shiro Utsuri for 4 years, showing it in the MAKC Young Koi show several times and taking best in variety and best in size prizes. The Junior Grand Champion is the highest award Judy has ever received in any show. Dick Ashbaugh, Koi Unlimited in Maryland, purchased the Koi in Japan for Judy. When he brought it home in November, Betty Roemer of Virginia kept it until the Young Koi Show in May. Grant Patton, one of the judges is shown here presenting the trophy to Judy. The other judges were Pat and Larry Christiaanson.

MaryAnn & Ron Bergman of the Ohio Koi Club took Best in Size 4 with their showa along with several ribbons. Bob Dice also took several ribbons. Jean and Larry Kelly visited the show and won several door prizes.

The Ohio Koi Club presented a friendship award to Frieda Allen for a Gin Rin Showa size 17-20 inches. This was just a beautiful striking showa, with sparkling gin rin and striking pattern
