The Story of Melchizedek

Melchizedek Stained Glass Window

The Old Testament story of Melchizedek, a prefigurement of the Eucharist from the book of Genesis, is symbolized in this stained glass window.

Each of the six stained glass windows in the chapel contain historic Eucharistic themes from the early Church.

Melchizedek, king of Salem, brought out bread and wine, and being a priest of God Most High, he blessed Abraham with these words:

“Blessed be Abram by God Most High, the creator of heaven and earth;
And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your foes into your hand.”  (Genesis 14:18-20)
