JOHN & CHRISTINA

Christina & John

We asked Christina and John to write something to share with all of you about what has happened since Club Dance ended. Since the two of them announced on the show that they were just "FRIENDS", obviously a lot of things have changed!!! We thought that you would be interested in hearing their story. Here is what they had to say. WHAT A GREAT COUPLE!!

WOW!!! What a Year, and it's still not over yet... In 7 months, things have really changed a lot for Arielle and me. I'm sure you all remember John from the last 8 months or so of the show. He started out as one of my country - western dance students and soon became one of my closest friends. As a matter of fact, Jenny and John and I were almost inseperable. Last July John and I went to one of his friends weddings in Cincinatti, Ohio. Everyone there (especially the bride and groom) kept telling us what a super couple we were and wouldn't believe us when we said "We're Just Friends". Well, I guess they must have seen something we weren't aware of yet because within a week, we were seriously talking about the possibility of dating...A Friend...It Seemed Like a Risky Idea...But we did it anyway! John moved soon after we began dating to Memphis Tn. where he had already committed to managing a restaurant. We both began to incur rather large phone bills! I went to visit him several times and he drove all night (8 hours) to surprise me before church one Sunday morning. Luckily, 3 months later, he moved back home...Boy was he homesick! He has just helped to open a new Schlotzsky's where he is currently managing. His hours are pretty rough, but we hope to have more time together soon. The restaurant actually opened the week after the wedding, so any honeymoon plans had to be postponed until fall. We're not sure where we will go, but snow skiing in Canada sounds like lots of fun to us.

Arielle is great! She has just started Kindergarten, and is proud to finally be 5 and a half...Don't forget that half or she'll be quick to correct you. She is learning how to read, and has almost mastered how to count change. Imagine counting 85 cents on your fingers. She's growing fast and we are very proud of her. She is still getting used to having 2 dads. She often starts a sentence off with "Uh...dad, I mean John, no.....dad, yeah, dad...will you get me something to eat" or whatever. We are letting her call the shots on what she wants to call him, so I guess the jury is still out, but I know she thinks it's kind of cool to have 2 fathers. The dance studio is great. Because Arielle is now at school in the mornings, I have combined most of my clogging classes to one night a week so I'm home in the evenings with John and Arielle. I am currently tossing around the idea of going to work full time during the days while Arielle is in school.

ABOUT THE WEDDING!

What a Beautiful Day. We were married on June 26th at 2:00 in the afternoon at our church, Fellowhip Evangelical. Our wonderful minister's name is Doug Bannister. Believe it or not, John and I planned the entire thing from the ceremony, to the music, to the reception. We wrote our own vows to each other which we did not share until the actual ceremony. Jenny helped us make our own food, with the exception of the wedding cake. During the ceremony, Kimberly T. sang a beautiful song called "Shine On Us" by Phillips, Craig and Dean, and a professional Christian Music singer, Sheree M. sang "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman. There were lots of tears of joy, and anyone who had a dry eye in the congregation finally lost it when John said his vows to Arielle. He told her that he would "always be there to love her, cherish her and protect her, and do his best to make her as happy as he is today". After the wedding, we went to a Dinner theatre where we danced the afternoon away. The food was really yummy and Arielle made her own little pink cake and wrote with candy letters "God bless my new family". All in all, it was perfect. God has really blessed us and we are very much in love.

What can we say? Things are great! We love being married. Arielle is adjusting beautifully, and she adores John. We still get out dancing once or twice a week but we sure do miss Club Dance. We are hoping for a renewal this fall. It sure would be great to see everyone again.

JOHN & CHRISTINA'S WEDDING!

As you will see by these pictures, the wedding was breathtaking! You will recognize quite a few of the bridal party as being Club Dance regulars. Another regular, Cynthia F. took all of these wedding pictures. She has a photography business and does an outstanding job. As you can tell, she puts a lot of thought into her shots.

If you wish to hire Cynthia for your special occasion, you can call her at (423) 675-3440.
