Her event is called "Kicking Up Rocky Top 99". It will be held at the
Radisson - Summit Hill in
Knoxville, TN from April 9th through the 11th, 1999.
Workshops will be held by Max Perry, Joanne Brady plus many other
regional and local instructors. There are competitions scheduled for line
dancing, couples, teams, and a choreography contest. There will also be
open dancing!
When we spoke with Cindy about doing this monthly feature on her,
the following is what she had to say.
"Well, so far this event is taking
up all of my time. After that, I'm not sure what I'll do. Of course, I
work everyday just like everybody else, but I also enjoy scrapbooking.
I've seriously considered opening a little scrapbook store a couple of
evenings a week and on Saturday. We'll have to see. I also will continue
to teach line dance classes and I'm also working on getting my judges
certification for dance competitions."
(I guess she is staying pretty
busy!)
"As far as Club Dance goes, I'll miss it terribly, even though I didn't
go alot over the past year. I met some of the nicest people during my
six and a half years on the show. I looked forward to seeing those
people week after week. I guess we took it for granted that it would
always be there. You know what they say. Nothing lasts forever. But
one thing is for sure, the memories will last a life time. I can truly
say that I seem to be the happiest on the dance floor. I'll miss that
along with all the dedicated fans."
