Before looking at the wedding pictures we wanted you to read a
story that we had Jenny write up to let you know a little about Bobby,
her wedding, and how married life is.
Below is the story in Jenny's words.

Married life is AWESOME!
At least it is if you're married to someone as
incredible as my husband!
I looked back at the last story I wrote, and I'm amazed how much can change
in less than a year - - - and really most of the changes took place within a
few months!
I had given up on finding the man of my dreams; I decided to find a good
man I could have a nice life with. I said to God, "OK, I'm ready to marry
the man YOU want for me, and give up all my picky, superficial criteria."
That meant removing a lot of qualifications from my list of things I was
looking for in a man. I kept my standards like, "Must be honest, kind,
genuine . . ." I had to give up my little pet rules like, "Must not be a
dancer, but have potential, and be willing to dance when I decide to keep
him", and "Can not under any circumstance be from my hometown", and "Must be
older than me", and "Will play the guitar
while I get ready for bed at
night", and "Must be taller than me", and, "Must know how to act and what to
say without me telling him", and the most picky of all - I like a man with a
strong jawbone! Had to decide to give that up too!
I am so incredibly amazed that when I gave up my insistance on perfection
and my idea of magical romance, in God's perfect love, he sent me all I'd
dreamed of and more! Bobby is all the important things I looked for in a
man, and all the less important things I just WANTED in a man, and so much
more than I ever could have even imagined. I am so blessed to have Bobby in
my life, and as my wonderful husband.
Everybody knows me - now let me tell you some about Bobby. You can tell from
the pictures that he's the most handsome man in the whole world, (I
believe!). He is also very athletic and intelligent and has a great
personality.
In high school Bobby was on the football team, and also was a boxer (until
his mother attended a fight!). He likes just about anything adventurous and
active. He's been learning to dance, and he's a very quick learner. His
lead is very good, Taylor helped break it down so it makes sense to Bobby,
and he picked it right up.
Bobby is a bit of a perfectionist, so he gets
frustrated that he isn't a master dancer after several months. Everyone
else is very impressed with his dancing!
For a living, Bobby works with computers. Right now he works in Oak Ridge
at Y-12 in Computer Security. Sometimes I call him during the day, ask what
he's doing - he says, "I'm hacking, Baby!"
He also has a computer business
with John (Christina's husband). They work on any computer related solution
for businesses and their specific needs. Networking, ISP addresses, server,
router - those are words I hear a lot. When a computer is being
particularly uncooperative, I hear, "Honey, did I tell you I hate
computers?" He doesn't really mean it though!
Life with Bobby is going to be so much fun. He's always eager to learn and
try something new. He decided he wanted to fly an airplane, so he started
taking lessons. He is just 1 test away from having his private pilot's
license. It's so much fun flying with him. The small airplanes aren't as
scary as I always thought they would be.
Bobby is very easy-going, has a very good sense of humor, and really
listens to people when they talk. He is very strong in his convictions, and
a hard worker. I'm so proud of him, and would love for everyone to know
him. He is the most wonderful man in the world to me. I really have found
the love of my life.
Bobby and I and my parents put a lot of work into making sure that people
would have a fun and memorable time at our wedding.
We spent a lot of time selecting our music. (The songs in the ceremony,
and the special dances) They were all done live with custom-recorded
tracks. (Kimberley T. of Club Dance sang and did my make-up)We even had a
"soundtrack" of our wedding as special gifts.
Bobby created a crossword puzzle with various trivia stuff related to us
and our occupations, families, dating, engagement, etc.
(CD's were given out as prizes for the winners)
I've always collected 4-leaf clovers. I had them all laminated (320 of
them!) and gave them away as favors.
There was food and dancing, seating inside and outside with a beautiful
view of the lake. At the end of it all we ran through bubbles to leave on
our getaway boat.
Cynthia F. was our photographer. She does a super job. Linda H. and
Steve S. took some great video shots of the wedding and reception.
Christina designed our invitations. She used our engagement photos (by
Cynthia, of course!) to create our very unique invitations. People remarked
about how nice it was to receive our invitations with current photos. Many
people didn't know Bobby, or hadn't seen me in awhile! If you want
Christina to do wedding invitations, baby announcements, or other
personalized stationery, e-mail Ray and Connie or us. One of us will pass along the
word!
It is so nice to have talented friends. I didn't worry about a thing on my
wedding day!

THE RECEPTION!

A beautiful cake and background!

Instead of the traditional Bride & Groom
on top of
the wedding cake, they
had a "wedding horse". Jenny has always
received some
version of a horse for
special occasions, and this was the MOST special occasion.

Eating the cake!

Jenny fought to stay clean, but ended up with icing all over her neck
and face instead of just a little on her face like he'd planned. But she said that was
ok, because everyone got a kick out of him kissing it off of her!

The Grooms Cake!

Of course since Bobby flys planes,
one of Jenny's friends
made this
airplane cake for the grooms cake.
It was 3 feet long!

We did it baby!

Now THIS is what I call going after the garter!

Cynthia told Bobby she would give him $5
to get the garter
with his teeth.
To Jenny's surprise, Cynthia owes him $5!
