RAINBOW
BRIDGE
Just
this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal
dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to
Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends
so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and
sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had
been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or
maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our
dreams of days gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss
someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and
play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the
distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body quivers. Suddenly he
begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs
carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted and when you and your
special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to
be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again
caress his beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of
your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you pass over Rainbow Bridge together....

My
Heart Aches So

I
had so many dreams, hopes and desires
for
my precious angel.
Now they are so permanently just
taken
away.
Why I ask this of you God?
This heartache is more than I can bear right now.
I begged you to take my life instead,
but for some reason
you leave me behind.
I wonder if life will ever go on.
At this point is it even worth living?
Why, oh why God did you take the ones I love,
that you’ve so kindly blessed me with.
For you have just taken them much too young,
Their life here on Earth was not yet done.
Your
Special Angel
When
you hear an Angel softly whisper to you,
In the light of the day, or the darkness of the night.
When you feel the presence of an Angel caress you,
And see their beautiful wings spread in graceful flight.
When something inside you just makes you smile,
Or you feel a warmth suddenly wash over your heart.
When your dreams are beautiful and include an Angel,
As you lay with your head on your pillow, in the dark.
When you're alone, and everything is quiet around you,
Yet you can hear the sweetest lullaby being sung.
When waking up in the morning, any troubles feel lighter,
From speaking with an Angel, before a new day has begun.
Then you know I am the Angel who you can feel and hear;
Your special Angel from Heaven who will always be so near.
I'm no longer able to be here in body, but I'm with you everyday,
As my loving heart, my soul, and my spirit, will never be far away.

Letting Go
With
tearful eyes, I watched you suffer
And saw you fading away.
You saw my pain and wanted to stay,
But you were getting so tired trying to remain.
And although I loved you dearly,
I just could not make you stay.
For a cure for you was not to be.
As weak and frail as you were,
You lifted your head one last time and
Said to me “Mommy it’s time, set me free”
And you laid your head back down.
I held you and told you I loved you
As The Lord put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come with me
For your journey to the Rainbow Bridge
Is now underway.”
I watch you take your last breathe
As you glided away from this Earth.
For another star was created as you
Entered your new life.
A life of no worries of every going
hungry or being ill again.
You have crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge
Till we meet again my heart will weep.
