TESS' & TY's BIRTHDAY CAKE
Ingredients:
1 C. Whole Wheat Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 C. Chopped Unsalted Peanuts
1/4 C. Oil
1/3 C. Honey
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Soy Flour
1 Egg
5 tsp. Vanilla
1 C. Ground or Grated Carrots

Preheat oven to 325.  Combine flours, baking soda and peanuts.  Mix in egg, oil, vanilla, honey and carrots until well combined.  Pour mixture into a prepared cake pan and bake for 15-20 minutes.

PET PARTY MIX
Ingredients:
2 C. Cheerios
2 C. Spoon-size Shredded Wheat
2 C. Crispix
1/2 C. Melted Butter or Margarine
2 Tbl. Dry Gravy Mix
1/2 C. Kraft Grated American Cheese Powder
1/2 C. Bacon Bits
1 C. Dog Jerky/Pupperoni/ Snausage

Preheat oven to 250.  Pour melted butter into 13 x 9 baking pan.  Stir in cheese powder, bacon bits, and gravy mix.  Add cereals and stir well until all pieces are coated.  Heat in oven for 45 minutes.  Meanwhile cut doggie meat treats into 1/2 inch pieces.  Remove cereal from oven, add doggie treats.  Store in airtight containers.  May be frozen and keeps well. 

VEGETABLE FLAVORED DOGGIE BISCUITS
Ingredients:
1 1/2 C. Whole Wheat Flour
1 C. Rye or Buckwheat Flour
1/2 C. Powdered Milk
1/2 tsp. Salt
6 Tbl. Bacon drippings or Margarine
1 Egg
1 tsp. Brown Sugar
1/2 C. Ice Water
1 C. Pureed Vegetables or 2-3 Tbl. Dried Soup Greens

Combine dry ingredients and cut in drippings or margarine until mixture resembles cornmeal.  Mix in egg, vegetables and add enough water to make mixture form a ball.  With fingers, pat dough out to 1/2 inch thick on a lightly floured board.  Cut with cutter and place on lightly oiled cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.  Cool on racks.  Yield: 12 biscuits

MISTY'S TREATS
Ingredients:
1 C. Rolled Oats
1/3 C. Butter or Margarine
1 C. Water
3/4 C. Cornmeal
1 Tbl. Sugar
1 tsp. Beef Bouillon
1/2 C. Milk
4 oz. Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 Egg, beaten
3 C. Whole Wheat Flour

Boil water and combine oats, butter and water.  Let stand 10 mins.  Stir in cornmeal, sugar, bouillon, milk, cheese and egg.  Mix well.  Add flour one cup at a time mixing well to form stiff dough.  On floured surface knead in remaining flour till smooth and no longer sticky.  Roll or pat out dough to 1/2 inch thick.  Cut and place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheets.  Bake in preheated 325 oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.  Cool completely.

CHEESE AND GARLIC DOG COOKIES
Ingredients
1 1/2 C. Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/4 C. Grated Cheddar Cheese
1/4 lb. Margarine
1 Clove Garlic, crumbled

Grate the cheese and let stand until it reaches room temperature.  Cream the cheese with the softened margarine, garlic, salt and flour.  Add enough milk to form into a ball.  Chill for 1/2 hour.  Roll onto floured board and cut into shapes.  Bake 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until slightly brown and firm.  

 

WHOLE WHEAT DOG COOKIES
Ingredients:
2 1/2 C. Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 C. Wheat Germ
1/4 C. Milk
1 Clove Garlic, crushed
4 Tbl. Margarine, softened
1 Egg, beaten
1 Tbl. Molasses

Combine flour, wheat germ, garlic and salt in a large bowl.  Cut in margarine.  Stir in beaten egg, molasses and milk.  Add enough water so mixture can be shaped into a ball.  Roll dough onto a floured board to 1/2 inch thick.  Cut into shapes and place on greased baking sheet.  Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.  Remove and let cool.  Yield: 30 cookies

BANANA MUTT COOKIES
Ingredients:
3 C. Mashed Bananas
1 tsp. Vanilla
6 C. Oats
1 C. Chopped Peanuts
1/3 C. Unsweetened Applesauce

Mix ingredients together thoroughly.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Drop mixture by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and press flat.  Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.  Keep stored in air tight container. Yield: approx. 2 dozen cookies

DIPPING SAUCE FOR ABOVE continued
2 C. Unsweetened Vanilla Chips
2 Tbl. Vegetable Oil

In a double boiler melt vanilla chips and oil together until smooth  

BANANA CUBES

Use 1 banana at a time.  Slice it and put into a cup or blender.  Add about 1 1/2  to 2 cups water.  Blend and freeze.  Variations:  Instead of banana use parsley, watermelon, oranges or lemons.  Use whatever dogs like. Courtesy of:  Bonnie Goodfriend(Pomerama Web Site
