Affirmation of Welcome

With reconciling love and grace,
Trinity Lutheran Church
welcomes all people into this community of Christ.

We celebrate the diversity of God's creation
and our unity as God's children.

In our ministry of reconciliation,
we strive to transcend all human boundaries.
People of any race, age, gender,
sexual orientation, ethnicity and ability are welcome.

Join with us as we seek to understand God's love for us.
We invite you to struggle with us
to be faithful messengers of that love in the world.

ELCA Sexuality Studies

The 2001 ELCA Churchwide Assembly mandated a 4 year study of homosexuality and a 6 year study of sexuality.  The homosexuality study is specifically concerned with whether same-sex couples may have their unions recognized in the ELCA (there is currently no officially binding policy) and whether a person in a committed same-sex union may be ordained, commissioned, or consecrated into professional rostered leadership of the ELCA. The 6 year study will result in an ELCA social statement on sexuality.
